What does RentalViewer do?
We attend Auckland rental and flat viewings on your behalf. You can join via live video call or receive a recorded walkthrough, plus honest independent feedback.
Do you work with landlords or agents?
No. RentalViewer is an independent service focused on helping renters make better decisions.
What’s the difference between Live Video Call and Recorded Walkthrough?
Live Video Call lets you join in real time and ask questions during the viewing. Recorded Walkthrough is a video walkthrough delivered after the viewing, plus written notes.
How quickly will I get the video and notes?
Usually the same day, depending on the viewing time and schedule. If you’re in a rush, mention it in your email and we’ll confirm timing.
What do you check during a viewing?
We focus on practical renter concerns: layout and space, natural light, noise and surroundings, general condition and upkeep, ventilation and visible damp indicators (non-technical), plus any obvious red flags.
Is this a building inspection?
No. RentalViewer provides a practical, non-technical assessment for renters. If you need a formal building inspection, you should engage a qualified inspector.
What areas do you cover?
We cover most of Auckland. Email the suburb and viewing time and we’ll confirm availability.
What if filming isn’t allowed at the viewing?
If recording isn’t allowed, we’ll do a live call where possible and provide detailed written notes. We always follow venue and agent rules.
What do you need from me to book?
Send the listing link, suburb, viewing time, and whether you prefer Live or Recorded. If there’s anything specific you want checked, include that too.
How do payments work?
For now, bookings are arranged by email. We’ll confirm availability and next steps before the viewing.
